respite repeat
I’m well today. Yesterday, I had a 38.4C fever. I carefully treated myself to temperature regulation and plenty of fluids, as well as some basic foods. I ingested Tylenol on the tail end, and killed the fever entirely. There are no other symptoms, for that I thank my daily vitamin C intake.
Speaking of vitamin c, specifically the intake portion…
Over here in Japan, it seems most drinks are focused more on function. Every drink has a benefit for you, or so they say - and they still taste good and are cheap. I mean under 2$ and often under 1$ as well. (USD). For example, Vitamin C drinks. 1000mg in every one of them; and they taste amazing with very light carbonation (not that painful level we often get in the USA). Even tiny glass bottles are the same price and do the same thing - NO FRILLS. They also taste good!!! How, you might ask? Idk, but they’re not shit on with sugar either.
I’m not excited to return and not have that option at all. I’ve rarely seen them imported, but I guess I’ll be more aware going forward. That’s a big thing. Most of the drinks I see in the US are sugar overload, double fizzy turbo static nonsense. As I said, it’s a shame. It’s been very nice and convenient what they do over here in that regard.
Anyways, my trip isn’t over so I’ll be taking full advantage as I have been.
I’ll spam photos soon. I leave in three days.
